This version without rhop is meant for HPA guns, where a rhopped barrel can cause inconsistencies in shot placement and potential feeding issues. Because of the extra voluming of air in most HPA setups, the BBs end up sitting improperly seated in the rhop (usually too far forward as rhop patches are a bit too malleable with the extra pressure of HPA), which decreases its effectiveness and the overall accuracy of the gun. Whereas with a PDI w-hold/Modify Flat Hop bucking, the stiffness ensures that the BB seats in a comfortable position with no compromise to its accuracy and feeding.
